Local services, events and activities which are held in conjunction with other churches in the town include the following:-

Blessing of the Town Crib, Saturday 30th November 2024

There will be a short open-air service in St Anne’s Square at 3:15, with carol singing. This is followed by a blessing for the Town Crib – after which the town’s Christmas lights will be switched on.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, 18th – 25th January 2025

To mark the start of this week an ecumenical service will be held at the Drive Methodist Church at 2pm on Saturday 18th January. All are welcome.

Thy Kingdom Come, Saturday 31st May 2025

A special prayer day will be held at St Anne’s United Reformed Church, between 10am and 2pm. You are invited to call in at anytime. Tea & coffee will be available in the church hall.

Pentecost, Sunday 8th June 2025

There will be a Walk of Witness around Ashton Gardens starting at 2:30pm, with banners and singing, followed by a service in the garden of St Anne’s United Reformed Church at 3:30.

St Anne’s Carnival, July 12th & 13th 2025

Churches Together will have a ‘Walking Float’ in the Saturday procession. The stall in Ashton gardens will be manned on both afternoons, with information & activities.
